With a cordial flourish, we’d like to invite you to Deorbital’s 2019 Spring Quarterly.

This quarterly could not have happened without the support of you, our readers, as well as the many writers who have pitched to us, our accepted writers, and Lia Harmon, who did this quarterly’s featured art.

It is with a heavy heart that we, Amr & I, are announcing the closure of Deorbital’s fundraiser. While we raised enough funds to do this quarterly and two before it, we did not reach our goal and we will be ending this round of quarterlies one shy of our goal.

That said, we are tremendously happy with the work that we have managed to publish in the past seven months. This is not the end of Deorbital, just a return to hibernation until we work out a new plan, and likely a rework of our processes going forward.

We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who has been a part of Deorbital’s latest incarnation, including all of our quarterly writers: Jonathan Kaharl, Ria Teitelbaum, Lilly Fenton, Liz Ryerson, Lane LaBelle, Dan Parker, Ives Aguiar, Eme Flores, Matheus Fernandes, Henrique Antero, Ty Gale, Eli Dobromylskyj, Bryn Gelbart, Aaron Lascano, Vinicius Machado, and Matthew Koester.

Special thanks, as always, to our artists: Chris Kindred (Autumn), Lexie Mason-Davis (Winter), and Lia Harmon (Spring).

Our hope is that Deorbital is always a light in the games writing landscape, and that the work published here is our way of giving back to the communities that shaped myself and Amr in our growth as writers and critics. Deorbital has always been a labor of love and will continue to be one.

Signing off, for now, but hopefully not forever,

Dante Douglas & Amr Al-Aaser
